The early years are a time when habits relating to nutrition are being developed. Most children have formed lifelong eating patterns by school age and this is why we encourage our children to live a healthy lifestyle and provide meals catered onsite by a qualified Chef. Some of the favourites include healthy lasagnes, deconstructed stir-fry’s and chicken and vegetable pasta which allows the children to choose the elements of the dish that they like. From scones, banana oat and raspberry coconut muffins, freshly made dips and sauces made from pureed vegetables, these are just some of the healthy creations that Chef Kerry whips up! YUM!
Good nutrition is the building blocks of a healthy life and at our centres in Frenchville and Gracemere Chef, Kerry takes this very seriously!
Chef Kerry has been a part of the Skippy's team at Gracemere since early 2016 and prides herself on creating nutritious fun meals for the children. As a qualified chef (and Mum) who has worked in numerous kitchens, she understands the importance of a well-balanced diet and ensuring her meals are created to incorporate the five food groups.
She understands intolerances and allergies and is happy to cater to your child’s needs wherever she can.
Cooking has long been a part of the Skippy's curriculum and the children love the opportunity to partake in the hands on learning experience when Chef Kerry joins and supports the children as they learn to be a Master Chef!
Next time you are at the centre, why not pop down to the kitchen to see Kerry’s creations in action!
